University of Idaho

The Costume Survey

Description provided by the program

The University of Idaho offers individualized programs of study tailored to students' educational goals. Our program emphasizes portfolio building, career preparations, and job placement. We value collaboration and the artistic process; students are encouraged to tackle main stage responsibilities as designers and cutter/drapers for academic credit. Summer internships at regional theatres are also encouraged. Our course offerings include Costume Design I & II, Advanced Costume Technology and Patterning; cross-disciplinary study is also available in Apparel Design, History of Western Dress, Studio Art and other related topics. Costume Shop assistantships are available for qualified graduate students.
