The Costume Survey

Description provided by the program

SFA’s School of Theatre offers exclusively undergraduate degree programs serving approximately 160 majors. The costume area focuses on training students in an integrated approach to design and technology in a student-centered, individually mentored program. Our students practice collaborative skills on realized productions in the black box and mainstage theatres alongside peers, faculty and guest artists. All students receive hands-on career mentoring. The BFA degree has three separate tracks for acting/directing, design/tech and stage management. The BFA includes one year of professional internship. The School of Theatre has a fully equipped costume shop with separate facilities for laundry, storage, wigs, makeup and crafts. Student assistantships and work study are available in addition to scholarships. All School of Theatre programs require admittance by interview or audition.
